Listed below are frequently asked questions about the Delaware Learning Center:

A: The Delaware Learning Center is a LMS which is an acronym for Learning Management System. It is an automated system that can streamline the training registration process, allow access to training, help administrators manage training, and enable reporting on training initiatives. All these functions can be achieved at the individual, divisional, department, and state levels. The State of Delaware selected Cornerstone OnDemand as the State's learning management system. You may hear the LMS referred to as the Delaware Learning Center.

A: The Delaware Learning Center offers a consolidated training platform that benefits employee career development. Employees can use the Delaware Learning Center to find and register for training, track their training, and manage their career training goals. There are many classroom and online courses, materials and videos available 24/7. When you use the Delaware Learning Center, your training records reside in one system that is accessible to you at any time.

A: From a computer connected to the State of Delaware network, use the State Sign-On option.

From home or a computer outside the State of Delaware network, use the Standard Login page. You will need to login using your State employee ID or State email address; use the password you use to login to your computer at work (when you change your State network access password, your DLC password is not automatically updated). A: The Delaware Learning Center employs Single Sign-On (SSO). If you are logged onto a State computer connected to the State's network you will not need to logon with a username and password. To change your password inside of the Delaware Learning Center, simply select Forgot Password from the Welcome page. An email containing a link to reset your password will be sent to you.

A: LearningCenter@csod.com is a system generated email from the Delaware Learning Center. The emails provide you with information about your training including reminders, confirmations, and notifications.

A: If this is the first time you are logging into the Delaware Learning Center, request the default password from your HR Office or your Training Administrator. Using your employee id and the default password will enable you to login. Once you've logged in successfully, the system will require you to change your password.

A: Be patient. The system is making sure all of the functionality is being loaded so it is available to you.

A: You need to make sure that popup blockers in your browser are disabled for the Delaware Learning Center domain (stateofdelaware.csod.com) so that the course can launch properly.

A: All training offered by Statewide Training & Organizational Development is now located in the Delaware Learning Center. Course registration and approvals for training courses now takes place through the Delaware Learning Center portal.

A: Yes, after 60 minutes of inactivity, you will be automatically logged off. If you used SSO to access the system, just select the "Timed Out" link to automatically be logged back in. If you signed in with your username and password, you will need to reenter your credentials.

A: Yes, there are online and classroom courses, videos, and materials offered to you at no charge.

A: If as a contractor you took training offered by the State, the process is seamless and you will not experience anything different. Please check your transcript to ensure that your training history has not been affected. As the Delaware Learning Center gets implemented across the State, agency training data will be added to the system. Please check your transcript periodically to ensure that your training history has not been affected. If you experience complications with this process, please contact us and provide us with your full name, employee id number, and details of the training.

A: Users can access the system using Explorer, Google Chrome, or Internet Explorer.

A: The employees report to a budget position # that is vacant and not to you. Although since you would be considered in a Manager role, those employee's requests for training will go to you for approval until the position is filled.

A: If you are a State employee, with a State employee ID number and an @state.de.us email address, your business email may not be populated in PHRST. You can check to see if you have an email address in PHRST by logging into self-service (where you view your pay advices and W2). Under Personal Information, Email Addresses, there should be two email address fields: Work Email and Business Email. If the Business Email address field is blank, contact your HR Office and request they update your "Business Email" field.
